The WRITING on the ground?

And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife,
even he that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife,
the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
LEV 20:10

The unfairness of the judgement of the people with the woman
that they had brought to YHSHWH/JESUS was that they had not
brought the man that had committed the adultery.
Otherwise, they would have had every right to stone the woman and the male "adulterer"
in front of GOD, HIMSELF.

GOD'S LAW is GOD'S LAW.
What is RIGHT in HIS EYES may not seem right to us.

I've gotten e-mails stating that it is impossible for me to know
what GOD YHSHWH/JESUS WRITE on the ground,
I agree.
I have no way of knowing what our GOD YHSHWH/JESUS WROTE on the ground.

The story goes as:

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery;
and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him,
Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned:
but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him,
that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down,
and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though
he heard them not.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them,
He that is without sin among you,
let him first cast a stone at her.
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience,
went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last:
and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
JN 8:3-9

They used the LAW WRITTEN to MOSES as thier defense
to stone the woman and they were trying to tempt HIM
to see if HE WOULD SPEAK against the LAW.

Our GOD AGREES with HIS LAW.

HIS LAW SAYS:
And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife,
even he that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife,
the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
LEV 20:10

They failed in bringing the male part of this accused adultery.

I believe that HE WROTE,
"...the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death." on the ground
and then HE STOOD UP and SAID,
"Let the one who is not against the LAW (without sin),
throw the first stone."

GOD'S LAW is GOD'S LAW.
What is RIGHT in HIS EYES may not seem right to us.

You are right we have no way of knowing -- but I once heard someone speculate that Jesus was writing the names of women - the Pharisee's lovers - in the sand. I like that. Imagine each one of them seeing his "special female friend's" name in the sand as Jesus is saying "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." That would make anyone go pale, feel shaken up, and walk away wonderinghow the heck He knew that when it was such a private secret thing.
